Full Swing, the industry leader in cutting-edge golf simulator technology and an Official Technology Partner of TGL presented by SoFi, today announces an exciting new integration with Clippd, the AI golf data platform used by the best young golfers in the world, including #1-ranked amateurs Luke Clanton and Lottie Woad.
In the first stage of what both companies believe will be an exciting partnership, paid Full Swing app subscribers will soon be able to get Clippd Shot Quality scores for shots recorded on the KIT Launch Monitor.
The addition of Shot Quality to the KIT Launch Monitor experience will elevate practice sessions, enabling players to see how good each shot was and to compare their performance with players of different abilities.
Whether on the golf course, range or practicing indoors, users will acquire Shot Quality scores with each and every shot. Multiple factors that impact the difficulty of each shot are taken into consideration, including distance, start lie, end result, course conditions, weather, and altitude.
Shot Quality is shown as a single number between 0 and 200. Zero represents the worst possible outcome, such as a lost ball or hitting out of bounds; 100 is male tour pro average; 200 represents “statistical perfection”, such as a hole-in-one.
Clippd’s Shot Quality algorithms have been trained on millions of shots recorded by tour professionals and elite amateurs.
Adding Shot Quality to the suite of data points available with the Full Swing KIT Launch Monitor provides paid app subscribers with new and powerful insights into performance, meaning they can measure progress and be more focused with their practice sessions.
Premium Full Swing app users will be able to see Shot Quality scores for selected activities in the Full Swing Practice Center, including a new 60-shot Combine Assessment.
Full Swing and Clippd ambassador Chris Trott said: “There’s so much data generated in the modern game but how many golfers know how to use it? Clippd helps me to understand and track my game, and it’s helped me to improve. What this partnership with Full Swing means is that for the very first time golfers will not only see what happens with each shot but also know what it means for their game.”
“Our partnership with Clippd is the latest example of our commitment to elevating KIT’s software offerings to further enhance the user experience,” said Jason Fierro, Chief Operating Officer for Full Swing. “It will allow our app users to practice with more purpose than ever before and gain quantifiable appreciation for what separates ‘good’ from ‘great’ shots.”
“We’re proud and excited to partner with Full Swing, an industry leader in golf technology, to bring Clippd’s performance metrics to Full Swing users,” said Piers Parnell, CEO of Clippd. “This collaboration provides golfers with deeper insights into their game, empowering them to better understand their performance and take meaningful steps on their journey to improvement. This is just the first step on an exciting path for both companies as we innovate together to transform how golfers consume and utilise data to enhance their game."
